CPI(M) in Kerala expels V. Kunhikrishnan over martyrs’ fund allegations

The Communist Party of India (Marxist) expelled Kannur district committee member V. Kunhikrishnan from the party's primary membership for publicly raising allegations related to a martyrs' fund collection in a television interview. K.K. Ragesh, the CPI(M) Kannur district secretary, stated that Mr. Kunhikrishnan acted as a "tool" of enemies and repeated settled issues, accusing him of attempting to defame party legislator T.I. Madhusoodanan. Ragesh claimed the allegations were baseless and accused Mr. Kunhikrishnan of admitting to leaking internal information, asserting the party could not tolerate such conduct driven by personal animosity.
