Raut slams Padma Bhushan honour for Koshyari, accuses him of toppling Uddhav govt.
Accusations of toppling a government and insulting historical figures raise serious concerns.
Sanjay Raut, leader of the Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray or UBT), criticized the Union government's decision to award the Padma Bhushan to former Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari. Raut accused Koshyari of "murdering democracy and the Constitution" by toppling the MVA government and claimed he insulted historical figures like Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and reformers Mahatma Phule and Savitribai Phule. Devendra Fadnavis, Chief Minister, congratulated Koshyari on the award.
