Indians abroad celebrate Republic Day; greetings pour in from world leaders

President Xi Jinping, President Emmanuel Macron, and President Donald Trump extended greetings to India on its 77th Republic Day, highlighting the strong friendship between the nations. Prime Minister Narendra Modi received well wishes from leaders of several countries including the United States, China, France, Bhutan, and Sri Lanka. Celebrations were held at Indian missions abroad, with tricolors unfurled and cultural programs performed. Ambassador Pradeep Kumar Rawat in Beijing read excerpts of President Murmu's address to the nation, while Consul General Pratik Mathur in Shanghai hosted a grand celebration attended by over 400 Friends of India. The celebrations resonated with national fervour across the globe.
