Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot is scheduled to deliver the Republic Day address at Manekshaw Parade Ground on January 26th. The Lok Bhavan has received the speech from the State government, which traditionally outlines the government's achievements and constitutional principles. However, a clash occurred between the Governor and the State government over the Governor's refusal to deliver the speech as provided by the government due to its critical content of the BJP-led Union Government. The Chief Minister Siddaramaiah stated that the Governor is bound by the Constitution to deliver the speech but has the liberty to make changes during the address.
