APCC seeks recovery of ₹250 crore from former TTD officials in ghee adulteration case
Kolanukonda Shivaji, vice-president of the Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee, demanded the recovery of approximately ₹250 crore allegedly misappropriated from Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams during the YSRCP government. He accused the then Chairman, officials, and their personal assistants of using adulterated ghee in laddu prasadam preparation, citing a Special Investigation Team report. Shivaji urged the government to initiate recovery proceedings under the Revenue Recovery Act against those who held positions of authority between 2019 and 2024.
