Activist writes to CJ of Bombay HC, seeks suspension of order in Chhagan Bhujbal PMLA case

Anjali Damania, the original petitioner in Public Interest Litigation (PIL) No. 23, which alleges corruption against Chhagan Bhujbal, has requested the Bombay High Court to suspend a recent order discharging Bhujbal from money laundering charges. Damania argues that the lower court erred by assuming the predicate offenses no longer exist, undermining years of investigation and setting a dangerous precedent for large-scale corruption. She contends that the three FIRs filed in connection with the allegations are still valid and constitute predicate offenses under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).
