Shiv Sena (UBT)'s Kalyan unit filed a complaint with the police alleging that two newly elected corporators, Madhur Umesh Mhatre and Kirti Rajan Dhone, have gone missing. Sharad Shivraj Patil, the district chief of the party, stated that efforts to contact them have been unsuccessful and requested a missing person case be registered. The police are investigating the matter. The Kalyan-Dombivli civic polls saw the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena win the majority with 52 seats, followed by the BJP with 51.
