Congress questions Maharashtra government’s investment claims at Davos

Congress members questioned the Maharashtra government's claims of investment secured during Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis' visit to the World Economic Forum in Davos. Atul Londhe Patil, a spokesperson for the Congress, criticized the government's assertion that Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) worth ₹30 lakh crore were signed, demanding details on the companies involved and their financial capabilities. He also questioned past investment claims made by previous governments, alleging they lacked tangible results in terms of industrial activity or employment generation.
