CBI-led SIT files final charge-sheet in TTD ghee adulteration case
Abuse of power and potential harm to devotees through adulterated offerings.
The Special Investigation Team (SIT) under the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed a final charge-sheet in the ghee adulteration case involving the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) administration. The charge-sheet names Bhole Baba Dairy, from Uttarakhand, and several individuals for allegedly supplying 68 lakh kg of synthetic ghee to the temple management between 2021-2024, estimated at ₹250 crore. Twenty-four people were named as accused in the charge-sheet, with six arrested persons out on bail.
