K.T. Rama Rao, working president of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), accused A. Revanth Reddy, Telangana Chief Minister, of engaging in character assassination and harassment through phone-tapping allegations for two years without finding any evidence. He met with party leaders at the BRS office before going to the Special Investigation Team (SIT) office in response to a notice regarding the case. Rama Rao claimed that he has never engaged in illegal activities and that the Congress government is using baseless charges against him, causing mental anguish to his family. He also alleged that some cabinet members are being harassed by Revanth Reddy for exposing scams involving Congress leaders and their kin.
