PM Modi pays tributes to Netaji Bose on birth anniversary

Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tributes to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose on his birth anniversary, Parakram Diwas. He highlighted the government's efforts to popularize Bose's ideals and criticized previous governments for attempting to erase his contributions. Modi launched the e-Gram Vishwagram Yojana in 2009 to honor Bose and organized a major program in Ahmedabad in 2012 to mark Azad Hind Fauj Day, attended by former Lok Sabha Speaker P.A. Sangma. The Prime Minister also noted the declassification of files related to Bose and the renaming of three islands, including Ross Island, as Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Dweep.
