The Directorate of Enforcement (ED) has provisionally attached 10 immovable properties worth ₹20.85 crore in connection with the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) scam. The attachment was carried out under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002, following an investigation initiated by the Lokayukta Police, Mysuru. The properties include six illegally allotted MUDA sites, three immovable properties, and one commercial building. Evidence suggests a deep nexus between MUDA officers and real estate businessmen, with payments for site allotments and approvals being made in cash. The ED has already provisionally attached 283 illegally allotted MUDA sites and three personal properties in this case.
