Governor-Chief Minister row an electoral theatrics, says K.C. Venugopal

K.C. Venugopal, AICC general secretary and MP, accused Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar and Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan of staging a "scripted act" regarding the omission portions of the policy address. Venugopal criticized Saji Cherian, the Cultural Affairs Minister, for his remarks about communal polarization in local body polls, calling them "deplorable." He also alleged that the delay in filing chargesheet in the Sabarimala gold theft case was a deliberate attempt to protect accused Unnikrishnan Potti. Venugopal demanded an independent court-monitored investigation into the matter and asserted that the Congress is committed to secularism and inclusivity, opposing any form of sectarianism or divisive politics.
