Tamil Nadu Congress receives over 5,200 applications from ticket aspirants for Assembly elections

T.S. Singh Deo, senior leader of the All India Congress Committee (AICC), announced that the party received over 5,285 applications for Assembly election tickets in Tamil Nadu and 800 in Puducherry. He stated the screening committee will report to the central election committee and consider recommendations from Pradesh Congress Committee presidents. Mr. Deo also suggested moving the screening process to block and district levels and emphasized that support among aspirants for other candidates would be beneficial.
