BJP formally announced Nitin Nabin as its new national president at a ceremony in New Delhi on Tuesday, January 20, 2026. The announcement came after Nabin, a five-term MLA from Bihar, was elected as the new national president on Monday, January 19th. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, J.P. Nadda (former BJP President), and other prominent figures including Rajnath Singh, Amit Shah, and Nitin Gadkari were present at the event.
