Greater Noida Authority orders road safety overhaul after techie's death
GNIDA Chief Executive Officer N.G. Ravi Kumar ordered an immediate overhaul of road safety measures across its jurisdiction following the death of a software engineer in Noida after his car fell into a water-filled pit. Kumar directed officials to identify and fill potholes, mark accident-prone areas, and implement essential safety measures like directional signage, reflectors, and barricades within three days. The directions come in response to allegations of negligence following an incident in Sector 150 where the engineer died after his vehicle fell into an unbarricaded excavation. Additional CEOs Srilakshmi V.S. and Sumit Yadav inspected areas and warned work circles found negligent.
