Remarks against Col. Sofiya Qureshi: SC to hear plea of MP Minister Vijay Shah

The Supreme Court is scheduled to hear on January 19th a plea from Madhya Pradesh Minister Kunwar Vijay Shah challenging a High Court order directing an FIR against him for using offensive language towards Indian Army officer Col Sofiya Qureshi. The court previously criticized Shah's lack of public apology and questioned his intentions, prompting the formation of a special investigation team (SIT) to probe the matter. The SIT has been tasked with examining statements from 27 individuals and is expected to submit its report by August 13th.
