Congress to have its Mayors in five cities, 350 corporators across Maharashtra: Sapkal

Harshwardhan Sapkal, president of the Maharashtra Congress, claimed his party will secure Mayors in five cities and around 350 corporators across the state, potentially influencing power arrangements in at least ten Municipal Corporations. Sapkal attributed the party's performance to an "ideological battle" against what he called "bogus voting" and "money power" used by the ruling BJP-led alliance. He also alleged irregularities in Mumbai civic polls, claiming the BJP manipulated the process for its own benefit. Despite these allegations, Sapkal expressed confidence in the Congress' future, stating they will continue their struggle to protect democracy and the Constitution.
