
Maharashtra civic polls: BJP takes lead in Pune bastion of Ajit and Sharad Pawar
The BJP has secured a significant lead in the Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad civic elections, winning 29 wards and leading in 43 others in Pune. In Pimpri-Chinchwad, the BJP leads with 81 seats, while the NCP is ahead in 36. The NCP contested these elections in alliance with the NCP (SP) despite a previous split between the two parties. The Congress has won three seats and is leading in nine in Pune Municipal Corporation.
