Aditya Sahu elected new president of Jharkhand BJP, seeks to protect tribal rights

Rajya Sabha MP Aditya Sahu was elected the new president of the opposition BJP in Jharkhand, succeeding Babulal Marandi. Jual Oram, the party's in-charge for organizational elections, officially announced Mr. Sahu's appointment. The newly elected president emphasized his commitment to protecting "jal, jangal and jamin" (water, forest and land) and tribal rights. Mr. Sahu also highlighted concerns about rising corruption, lawlessness, and the safety of tribals under the current government.
