BJP fact-finding committee claims Kogilu families may include illegal migrants

BJP fact-finding committee, led by MLA S.R. Vishwanath, investigated the Kogilu demolition issue and expressed suspicion that some families in Fakeer Colony and Waseem Layout may be from Bangladesh based on discrepancies found in Aadhaar cards and voter IDs. The committee also claimed these families obtained ration cards using fake documents and did not provide proper family trees or evidence of long-term residency. The committee is now sending the Aadhaar details to Unique Identification Authority of India for verification, while warning that allotting houses under the Rajiv Gandhi Housing Scheme to affected families could set a precedent for future encroachment claims.
