After water contamination tragedy, Madhya Pradesh CM orders safe supply for all

Mohan Yadav, Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, launched a state-wide "Swachh Jal Abhiyan" (Clean Water Campaign) following the deaths in Indore due to contaminated water. The campaign aims to ensure safe drinking water for both rural and urban areas, with testing, alternative arrangements, and public awareness initiatives. The initiative will be conducted in two phases, from January 10 to February 28 and March 1 to March 31, and includes "Jal Sunwai" (water grievance hearings) and the use of a mobile application for monitoring. Kailash Vijayvargiya, MP Urban Development Minister, is facing pressure from the Opposition Congress to resign over the tragedy.
