Sanjay Raut slams BJP’s Annamalai for saying Mumbai is not Maharashtra city
Sanjay Raut, a Shiv Sena (UBT) MP, demanded the arrest of K. Annamalai, a BJP leader, for his statement that "Bombay is not a Maharashtra city." Raut criticized the comment as disrespectful to Maharashtra's capital and called on Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to clarify the BJP's stance. Chandrashekhar Bawankule, a BJP minister, defended the statement, saying it could be misunderstood. The Shinde-led Shiv Sena distanced itself from the remarks, stating that Mumbai belongs to Maharashtra and should remain so.
