Congress does not believe in ‘backdoor politics’, says Selvaperunthagai
K. Selvaperunthagai, president of the Tamil Nadu Congress Committee (TNCC), clarified that the party does not engage in "backdoor politics" and operates through transparent negotiations. He responded to remarks made by the DMDK youth wing leader Vijay Prabhakaran who cautioned against aligning with the Congress over the release of a film. Selvaperunthagai stated seat-sharing talks are handled by a committee led by Girish Chodankar and that discussions are currently limited to the DMK, while no talks have been held with the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK).
