SC, ST Welfare Committee of State Legislature visits Inam Veerapur

A.R. Krishnamurthy, Chairman of the Karnataka Legislature’s Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Welfare Committee, convened a meeting with officials from various departments to address the "honour killing" incident in Inam Veerapur village. The committee, including members D. Thimmayya, Hemalatha Nayak, F.H. Jakkappanavar, Krishna Nayak, Dr. Chandru Lamani, and Samruddhi V. Manjunath, gathered information from the police and revenue departments about the incident's progress and the support provided to the victim's family. Deputy Commissioner Divya Prabhu G.R.J. briefed the committee on the district administration's efforts, while Superintendent of Police Gunjan Arya detailed the investigation and security measures taken.
