False cases foisted to cover up Tirumala lapses, alleges Bhumana

Bhumana Karunakar Reddy, YSR Congress Party’s combined Chittoor district president, accused the State government and the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) of falsely accusing party members in connection with the recovery of liquor bottles at a secluded spot atop Tirumala hills. He claimed that instead of addressing security lapses, the government was attempting to cover up sacrilegious incidents reported in temples under the TTD and demanded the release of video footage related to the case. Tirupati Mayor B.R. Sireesha Yadav was also present at the media conference.
