Delhi Court orders removal of posts linking BJP leader to Ankita Bhandari murder case
Court silencing political opposition to a murder suspect raises serious concerns.
The Delhi High Court ordered political parties and individuals to remove posts linking Dushyant Kumar Gautam, BJP national general secretary, to the Ankita Bhandari murder case. Justice Mini Pushkarna issued an interim order restraining Congress and AAP from posting content targeting Mr. Gautam as well as other entities like Urmila Sanawar and the Uttarakhand Pradesh Congress Committee. The court found a prima facie case for Mr. Gautam and stated that irreparable harm would be caused if the order was not passed.
