Odisha revises schedule for ward delimitation, seat reservation ahead of urban local body polls

In a letter to collectors, Director of Municipal Administration Arindam Dakua revised the schedule for delimitation of wards and reservation of seats for municipalities and NACs ahead of urban local body elections next year. Draft notifications inviting objections must be issued by September 24, with provisional notifications published by October 7. Appeals can be filed from October 7 to 21, heard by the government between October 26-28, and final notifications issued by October 31, 2026.
