Janardhana Reddy’s act of tearing Valmiki banner triggered violence in Ballari: Shivakumar

Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar stated that the violent clash between Congress and BJP workers in Ballari, which resulted in the death of a Congress activist, was triggered by the act of MLA Gali Janardhan Reddy and his supporters tearing down banners related to the unveiling of a Maharshi Valmiki statue. Shivakumar emphasized that the police took timely action to control the situation and that no one would be shielded from accountability. He also dismissed claims made by Union Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy regarding the post-mortem of the deceased activist, stating that such allegations were false.
