He represented Pune multiple times in the Lok Sabha and held several key political positions during his career. Kalmadi's mortal remains will be kept at Kalmadi House in Pune until 2 p.m., followed by cremation at Vaikunth crematorium in Navi Peth at 3:30 p.m.
