Congress expresses ‘grave concern’ over ‘unilateral U.S. actions’ in Venezuela

The Congress expressed grave concern over recent unilateral actions taken by the United States in Venezuela, characterizing them as violations of international law. Salman Khurshid, chairperson of the Congress's Foreign Affairs Department, stated that these actions transgressed norms enshrined in the UN Charter and various international treaties. The Congress emphasized the importance of respecting national sovereignty and peaceful coexistence within the post-World War II rules-based world order, warning against any kinetic action without UN sanction which could undermine global stability.
