Polavaram-Nallamala project opposed by Maharashtra and Karnataka too: Telangana Irrigation Minister
Telangana Irrigation Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy stated that the Polavaram-Nallamalla project is opposed by both Maharashtra and Karnataka, as well as the Telangana government. He clarified that the project violates inter-state river water regulations, citing a letter from BRS leader T. Harish Rao which was unrelated to the current issue. The Supreme Court has adjourned the case to next Monday and suggested pursuing it through a suit petition instead of a writ petition. The Telangana government plans to seek a stay on the project during the next hearing.
