DVAC Searches 30 Places, Seizes Evidence in Nehru Contract Probe
Alleged corruption by a former minister warrants urgent public attention.
On Saturday, Tamil Nadu’s Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC) conducted searches at 30 places linked to former Minister and DMK leader K.N. Nehru in multiple cities as part of an investigation into alleged irregularities in contracts awarded by the MAWS Department between 2021 and 2025. Searches were held at Nehru’s residences and offices, seizing 241 documents and electronic evidence. DVAC officials also questioned Nehru, who denied any wrongdoing. The investigation continues.
