TTD’s experimental e-dip system draws flak
The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has faced criticism for its crowd management during the 'Vaikuntha Dwara Darshan' event, with a surge in footfall on the fourth day after initially experiencing lower numbers than expected. Govindamala devotees, who traditionally visit Tirumala on Vaikuntha Ekadasi day, complained about the e-dip system not accommodating their group. Andhra Pradesh State Biodiversity Board (APSBB) Chairperson N. Vijay Kumar questioned the TTD's handling capacity claims and YSRCP district president Bhumana Karunakar Reddy blamed the organization for spreading fear among devotees. TTD chairperson B.R. Naidu announced a meeting to discuss the issues on January 8th.
