
Russian attack kills 12, wounds 21 in Kyiv as EU meets on Ukraine defence
At least 12 people were killed and 21 wounded in Kyiv after a Russian drone and missile attack on Tuesday night. Tymur Tkachenko, chief of Kyiv’s regional military administration, said the attacks targeted military and energy facilities. Vitali Klitschko, mayor of Kyiv, confirmed at least eight deaths in the city while four others died in the region. The incident occurred as EU defence ministers met in Ireland to discuss Ukraine's air defence shortages. Russia claimed it hit military targets but Ukraine reported damage to civilian infrastructure and food storage facilities.
