On Friday night, twenty-one residents of Tamil Nadu, who were part of a group stranded in Nepal due to flash floods, arrived in Chennai via New Delhi. The pilgrims from Chidambaram and Mayiladuthurai were evacuated by the Indian Embassy and received at Chennai airport by N. Anand, Rural Development Minister. Earlier that day, they were welcomed in New Delhi by Union Minister for External Affairs S. Jaishankar and other Tamil Nadu Ministers.
