Ballari clash: Congress gives ₹25 lakh compensation to victim’s family
Congress officials, including District-in-charge Minister Zameer Ahmed Khan, visited the family of Rajashekhar, a party worker who died during the recent violence in Ballari, and handed over ₹25 lakh in compensation. Khan stated that arrangements would be made for a new house under the Slum Board housing scheme and further assistance from the Congress president was promised. The incident is being investigated by a committee led by H.M. Revanna, with the aim of identifying the perpetrators responsible for the violence.
