Rahul Mamkootathil, a Kerala MLA, is facing accusations of rape from the woman he allegedly had an illicit relationship with. The husband of the accuser has filed a complaint against the MLA with the Kerala Chief Minister and the Director General of Police, alleging cyberattacks on his family and that the MLA lured his wife into a trap. The complainant demands a case be filed under Section 84 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for enticing, taking away, or detaining a married woman with criminal intent. The husband claims he is the victim of cyberattacks despite losing his family life and is ready to proceed with the case if necessary.
