Congress faces backlash as 1,500 families claim land seizure injustices

On August 22, T. Harish Rao, Deputy Floor Leader of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) in the Assembly, questioned the Congress government about its right to seize lands under Section 22A of the Registration Act from areas like Tirumala Meadows and Hema Nagar. He spoke with victims who claimed they had lived there for 30 years without issue. About 1,500 families were reportedly affected by this action.
