Cybercrime gang nabbed: Jainath police arrest 5 in ₹3.5 crore fraud sting
On Friday, Jainath police in Adilabad district arrested five members of a Bihar-based cybercrime gang involved in 498 fraud cases across India. The accused—Abhishek Kumar alias Sourav, Abinash Kumar, Ritesh Kumar (all 24), Ashutosh Kumar alias Bablu (33), and Nishu Kumar (25)—were caught after a detailed investigation into complaints of cheating victims out of ₹3.5 crore through fake fertiliser franchises and loan schemes. Police seized 10 mobile phones and ₹70,000 in cash.
