Pothole tragedy: 11-year-old dies under truck in Pune

An 11-year-old boy died in Pune's Balewadi-Mhalunge area on Monday evening after the motorcycle he was traveling on slipped due to a pothole and fell under a truck. The accident, captured by CCTV, occurred around 7 pm as the boy was heading to a tuition class with his father and sister. Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde had earlier directed municipal corporations to repair potholes ahead of Ganesh Festival, but local residents remain angry over poor road conditions. He died on the spot, sparking outrage among locals who have long complained about dangerous roads.
