Indian high commissioner hopes Tarique visit takes place sooner despite challenges

On Sunday, Indian high commissioner to Bangladesh Dinesh Trivedi said differences between India and Bangladesh can only be resolved through talks. This came after the Bangladesh government attached tough conditions for PM Tarique Rahman’s visit to India at PM Narendra Modi's invitation, including extradition of Sheikh Hasina. Trivedi expressed hope that Tarique’s visit will take place "much sooner" despite acknowledged challenges. Meanwhile, an Indian business delegation from CII began a three-day Bangladesh visit Monday.
