On Sunday night, K. Nooka Raju, his wife Meena, daughter Sowjanya, and grandson jumped into river Godavari from a bridge in Rajamahendravaram; Raju’s body was retrieved on Monday evening while the search for Meena and Sowjanya continues. The 10-year-old survived and was rescued by fisherfolk. A suicide note accused SK Sadhik Khan of harassing Sowjanya, leading to their decision. Police registered a case against Khan under Section 108 of BNS. Search operations are ongoing with support from the State Disaster Response Force.
