Ajit Pawar, Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, stated that his NCP is in talks with the Shiv Sena, led by Eknath Shinde, regarding seat sharing for the upcoming Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad civic polls. The final decision on alliances will be made after scrutiny of nomination papers and candidate withdrawals. The elections are scheduled for January 15, 2026.
