Lorry driver, helper held for smuggling 75 kg ganja on T.N.-A.P. border
K. Venkatesan, a 44-year-old lorry driver from Tirupattur, and his accomplice B. Prakash, 35, were arrested by police at the Tamil Nadu-Andhra Pradesh border near Gudiyatham town for smuggling 75 kg of ganja estimated to be worth ₹20 lakh. The contraband was discovered concealed under the driver's seat during a vehicle check conducted by a special police team led by Superintendent of Police (SP), A. Mayilvaganan. The duo intended to transport the ganja to Tier-II cities like Coimbatore, Trichy, and Madurai.
