
Gandhi hit with privilege breach: MPs accuse him of using derogatory terms against Shah
The Committee of Privileges of the Lok Sabha issued a notice to Rahul Gandhi, asking him to submit his reply by August 28, on a breach of privilege notice moved against him by BJP MP Anurag Thakur and another complaint by BJP MP Sanjay Jaiswal. Mr. Thakur accused Mr. Gandhi of using unparliamentary language and making unsubstantiated allegations against Union Home Minister Amit Shah during the debate on July 29, citing specific derogatory terms used. The Committee will examine both complaints after receiving Mr. Gandhi’s response.
