
Nihang Sikh Attacker Claims Drug Responsibility, Injures Sukhbir Singh Badal
On April 19, Jaspal Singh Teja Singh Aidal, a lawyer from Pune and Nihang Sikh sevadar at Gurudwara Mata Sahib in Nanded, attacked Sukhbir Singh Badal, the chief of Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD), as he exited the gurudwara. Singh concealed a kirpan and injured Badal's hand while claiming responsibility for drug issues in Punjab. Police are investigating without finding any criminal links to Singh.
