The Bengal government withdrew the Banga Bibhushan award from BJP MP Nagendra Ray on Thursday, following his alleged derogatory remarks about Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari ordered police action against those insulting Netaji, including MPs and officials, after Ray described him as a "war criminal." The award was given to Ray in February when the Mamata Banerjee government was in power.
