Sukhbir Singh Badal, Shiromani Akali Dal chief, was attacked in Nanded, Maharashtra, by a man identified as Jaspal Singh, who tried to stab him with a kirpan. Badal suffered a 4-5 cm cut on his hand and is hospitalized but out of danger. The security officer intervened, taking most of the damage. The attacker has been arrested, and Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis ordered a probe into the incident.
