Tamil Nadu Claims Karnataka's Water Release Was Forced, Not Voluntary
On August 13, 2026, Karnataka told the Supreme Court that good rainfall allowed it to supply Tamil Nadu with 3,500 cusecs of water at Biligundlu until August 12, as directed by the Cauvery Water Management Authority (CWMA).
